Player CommitmentThe Columbia Angels is a select baseball team and players are performing at an elite level.  Therefore, players are expected to be fully committed to their participation with the Angels.  Full commitment means: you will not play for other select teams, you will attend all scheduled games and practices, and, most importantly, you will make Angels baseball a priority.  By making your commitment to the Angels a priority, you are expected to plan your time for other activities so that you are able to participate in all scheduled baseball activities.

Organization BenefitsThe Angels organization and coaches will provide players with opportunities to participate in the highest level of competition at local, statewide and national tournaments.  Players are provided with numerous opportunities to appear before college and major league scouts.  Players are also provided with the opportunity to be part of a well-established and well-respected baseball organization that is locally and nationally recognized in the select baseball community. Over the last 20 years, the coaches have developed relationships with various scouts and recruiters around the state and the nation.  These relationships have provided many players with the opportunity to participate in collegiate and professional baseball.

The Angels provide experienced coaches to instruct players.  Angels coaches will never sacrifice a player’s health or future for a win.  The Angels organization is not only committed to developing a player’s physical talent but to helping them develop emotionally and mentally.  Players will have numerous opportunities to participate in high level and intense competition and develop the emotional fortitude to perform in similar situations.  Experience with the Angels will prepare each player with the skills and maturity needed to perform at the post high school level.

Team Web SiteThe Web site is our primary source for the dissemination of team information.  We will post the current week’s schedule and all important updates (schedule changes, game cancellations, rainouts, etc.) on the home page.  It is the player’s responsibility to check the website before calling your coach and before heading out for your games.  We strive to keep the information as current as possible.

We will try to have weekend tournament information posted by Wednesday evening.  Check the Web site for game times and locations.

The team Web site is viewed frequently by scouts and recruiters for the most current player information.  It is each player’s responsibility to ensure that the posted information is accurate – especially your jersey number.  If the Web site information is incorrect, email Doug Golden at doug@columbiaangels.com.

Player FeesEach season players will be charged a fee that will include rental of practice fields, league fees, tournament fees, coaches fees and uniforms.  The season fee will not include travel costs for out of town tournaments.

The amount of the player fee will be posted at the beginning of each season.  If you are unable to pay the entire amount at the beginning of the season, notify Doug Golden to work out payment arrangements.

Player fees can be paid online or mailed to:

Team AssignmentPlayers will be chosen for each team, however you may be asked to play on another Angel team as determined by the coaches.  This flexibility allows the Angels to put together the most competitive teams and provide the players with a greater variety of opportunities.  This is particularly true in the fall when seniors are traveling to the various colleges to appear before scouts and recruiters.

Missing a GameIf you must miss a game, you are expected to notify your coach as soon as you know you will not be available (the earlier the better) and no less the 24 hours before the game (with the exception of an emergency).  Lack of basic courtesy not only lets your team down but also prohibits the coaches from getting another player to fill your position or canceling games if needed.

Notification Procedure

LEAGUE GAMES:  Email Coach at least 24 hours in advance.

WEEKEND TOURNAMENTS:  Email and call your coach by Tuesday.
